Preparatory Japanese Language Course

Target: Preparatory Educational Program Students
    ▶ Students whose ID number start with 2990

The Center for Japanese Language and Culture is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as a "Designated Japanese-Language Training Institution" (institution for preparatory Japanese language training).

The "Designated Japanese-Language Training Institution" is an institution that provides six-month preparatory Japanese language training to the Japanese Government Scholarship recipients ※, whose initial Japanese skills were deemed insufficient by their university, before they begin their advanced education.
(※refers to graduate school level Research Students recommended by the Japanese embassy)

Accreditation of Doshisha therefore proves that the content and quality of the Japanese language education offered by our Center for Japanese Language and Culture have been fully recognized and guaranteed.

Japanese Studies Program

Target: Japanese studies students, MEXT scholarship
    ▶ Students whose ID number start with 2990

The Center for Japanese Language and Culture is accredited by the Ministry of Japanese studies students.
The Japanese Government’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) offers scholarships for academic study in Japan to foreign students interested in deepening their understanding of the Japanese language, Japanese affairs and Japanese culture.
The purpose of these scholarships is to promote mutual understanding and deepening friendly ties between Japan and other countries through the application of advanced knowledge regarding Japan’s language and culture.
