Interacting with Domestic Students
Support by Volunteer Students
We have domestic volunteer students who help newly-arrived international students get around on campus and complete registration procedures at a municipal office. There are also many domestic students who participate in Japanese language classes as conversation and discussion partners. They often continue chatting with international students outside of the class at the International Community Lounge and have lunch with them at the cafeteria.
Studying with Domestic Students
Some of the subjects offered at the Center for Global Education and Japanese Studies are open to both international and domestic students to learn together about Japanese traditional culture, art and multicultural studies. For more course details and registration procedures, please refer to the “Program Guide” handed out at the orientation. Please note that some of these subjects have maximum class capacity and/or require advance registration.
