Registration Guide for Japanese Language and Culture Subjects for International Students

“Japanese Language and Culture Subjects” are divided into 3 course groups, Japanese Language Courses, Lecture Courses in Japanese Studies and Lecture Courses in International Studies.
Japanese Language Courses are divided into 9 levels based on student’s Japanese ability, which allows students to learn at their appropriate Japanese level.
In Lecture Courses in Japanese Studies and International Studies, courses on Japanese art, history, society, etc. are offered to deepen understanding of Japanese culture and society, and to promote international understanding.
Also, some of these courses are offered to promote Japanese culture overseas and to facilitate international mutual understanding where both Japanese and international students study together in the same classroom about Japanese culture, tradition and history.

Japanese Language Placement Test

Those who wish to take “Japanese Language and Culture Subjects” are required to take Japanese Language Placement Test every spring semester.
*New students entering in fall semester can take the placement test in fall semester only in their enrollment year and must take it in spring semester after the second year.
